Splish! Splash!

Can anyone see why Max has an ENT appointment this Thursday? He has tongue tie. His very oldest brother also had this, and he couldn't stick his tongue out it was so tight. I am hopeful that the doctor will clip it in the office and we can avoid surgery, and speech problems.

Good luck at the Dr on Thursday - I'll be praying!

How cute! My son is still tongue tied at almost 10. It was clipped when he was one day old, because he couldn't suckle due to it. It wasn't clipped enough evidently, because his tongue makes that same exact cute heart shape when he sticks it out. We talked to the ENT about it when he had his tonsils out recently, but we left it alone. His speech is fine and he eats fine, at almost 10. Sometimes they just learn to cope with it evidently! :)

If he can stick it out that far then it should not affect his speech. Just adding my two cents. My little one has the same thing. We left it alone. He articulates every sound at the age of two. His rubberband wrists tell me it is not affecting his eating. Different docs have different ideas of what is necessary. Either way you go he will be fine.
