Baby 4

I was the first patient of the day, so we went right in. the technician came in turned off the light and started, She didn't ask me if I was ready or anything. Although I would have told her I wasn't, and just told her to leave, so it was best that she just started. the first thing on the screen was babies tummy, with an empty bladder, and two kidneys to boot. She measured babies arms and legs, all measuring right on at 22 weeks. Brain, heart, and spine all look perfect. Baby was very active, probably had nothing to do with the orange juice I drank right before the scan. the bladder filled and she got a good picture of it. She couldn't get a picture of the arch of the heart, so I had to lay on my side to try and get baby to move into a more helpful position, but if you were following me on twitter you already knew this. Then doctor A came in and measured everything all over again, and the words I had been waiting to hear "no markers", "perfect", "right on target", were all spoken. The baby weighs in at a healthy 1lb 4oz, probably has nothing to do with my gigantic weight gain in the past 5 weeks. The doctor also caught a good picture of the babies voice box, and caught baby practicing to breath already. We talked about Alex a bit, and the doctor A said that he reads the blog to see how little bird is doing.

YAY! What a blessing that you were given the peace that you needed and wanted to hear! I'm so happy for you!

I wish that I had x-ray eyes to see inside that envelope! You are so mean teasing us like that! But, it's fun too!

Have a great day! Congratulations!

AHHH! How can you do that to yourself?!?! I don't nearly have as much patience as you do to have that envelope in your possession and not take a peek! I'm glad to hear the ultrasound was 'uneventful' and went well!

Ahhh, it's over! Yeh! What a beautiful little one, it looks like he/she already has a head of hair. Don't you just love the 3D ultrasound?

I hope this brought a little relief to you and you can rest better now. I was up at 3 a.m. with Nathan this morning thinking about you!

Oh Jessica, you are downright mean! I was going to comment on how precious your baby is, but oh well I can't help it, your baby is beautiful. So snuggle and secure! Thank you, Jesus for a great test result. Lets see if the visits to your blog go up tonight! I will be clicking till it is revealed.

YAY! I'm glad to hear everything is perfect, but you know, if it wasn't perfect, I'd still say it was perfect. Because I firmly believe you get exactly who you're supposed to get. I'm glad all is healthy and hopefully you can relax and enjoy the pregnancy now.
GO OPEN THE ENVELOPE, you freak! (coming from the woman who didn't know gender for either of her kids!)

Oh, come ON, now! You are making us crazy!

I had a funny moment, reading this, when I thought I was reading Kristy B's blog, and got really confused, trying to figure out why she and her doctor were talking about Alex, and why her doctor was reading your blog to check out the little bird!!! OK, and I was really thrown by the fact that the baby was less than 2 lbs when she is due in a month ... and she wasn't shocked!?

I had to go back to the top, reorient myself. Oh, yeah. Jessica. OK, so it makes sense about the doctor reading about Alex. OK, OK.

What I get for trying to squeeze in some blog reading when I really need to be pumping and feeding Mal and getting some zzzz's before work tomorrow.

You know, you can always send me an email about the envelope. Maybe open it, scan it, send it to me, seal it again, ...... :) I'm just sayin.
love you so much, Jessica.

I will let you know that two little girls in my house are not happy right now. They are so wanting to know. We are praying for you and we lifted you up in praise to God for the good news from this morning. She looks beautiful. ;)

Now you can focus on finding a name for that little one. We love you and Thank God for you and your beautiful family!

I'm so glad everything went well and that baby is healthy.

I can't believe you didn't peek! I think Mother's Day would be such a great time to see what you are having.

Once again, glad to hear that all is well.

So glad that everything went well :) You are much more patient than I would be. My husband and I had to find out the sex of all 3 of ours at the ultrasound...if I had that envelope staring at me day after day I'd go nuts :)

See? They said "perfect" everything is going to be alright!!!

Jessica,

Am so happy everything went well for you today. I'm looking forward to meeting baby bump number #4. What a beautiful little one you have. So happy for you!

How smart, to get the gender in an envelope! I wish we'd done that, because a couple weeks before the birth of Konrad, Tom and I decided we wanted to know the gender, but it was too late because the doctor didn't want to do any more ultrasounds!

Of course I want you to tell us if it's a boy or girl...but that 3D ultrasound looks like a boy's face. But you'd better let us know if you peek! ;)

Don't open it! You deserve a good surprise!

So glad everything went well with the ultrasound. Can't wait to see the baby bump in June! Kelly F
